Not one elder has called me since my fade!
by in a new york bethel minute ini started fading two and a half years ago... and i have never been contacted once.
not even a call to see how i was doing.
my mom is still a diehard dub and doesn't even think it unusual.

Whats the worst dish you ever served???
by Tez ini am a reasonable cook when i can be bothered (as paulj will hopefully confirm) but often resort to quick and easy methods, packet mixes, tins etc.. whereas my parner is a brilliant cook!!
leave him in the kitchen for a little while and he produces something from scratch that is delicious.
so today i decided to extend my culinary skills!

My dad would go to his "white collar" job, at about 4:00pm. He would always have 1 of us kids to fix him a lunch. Since my mother was never prepared with groceries, we would always tell him we did not have anything. He would always just tell us to make him something!!!! No more questions were asked. We would find something. My dad is a man of very few words. Except on the stage at the KH.
Now mind you, he has 10 guys around him at a huge round desk. My dad was their boss. They all always looked to see what dad had brought. My brother had fixed it this day. It was a Cottage Cheese sandwich. Dad said it wasn't that bad, til he got to the Chocolate Chips. He was always called MR. and a good JW. A man to be respected. But that one time, he accepted that he was the one who brought the weirdest food to work. HL

Horror film shower scene!
by ButtLight inyes, i had one yesterday!
my cats glanced towards the steps as did i. then a minute later, i hear another noise, and both cats run to the bottom of the steps looking up like they wanted to pounce.
i was a little freaked, but ignored it.

I live in a 2 story house, with a basement and large attic. Squirrels found their way in. the attic. Got a brand new roof, they are back. Tore down an old shed, rats. OMG They weren't in the house, but both followed the same path at different times. They got between the walls, and under the stairs. When you said you heard it under the top stair, MINE TOO. They were active in the late mornings, and late evenings after 10 pm. Sometimes you would just hear a bang. Other times it was longer and louder.
It ddn't sound like critter. Like bumping into stuff, in the walls. Not crawling and scratching. Found out what they were, by undoing the wall by the stairs. Lots of pooh. Called exterminator, both times. He put poison out, that made them thirsty, and go find water. Within 1 week each time, They were gone. HL

Met Satanus today...
by tetrapod.sapien insatanus was on his way through calgary today, and i met him this morning for coffee.
it was a great time!.
this was a new thing for me, since i am but only recently apostasized and deconverted.
